This week, we present the current stage of the SERENA device, focusing on the mechanical construction and the finalized electronic design.

Mechanical Construction

We have completed more than 50% of the mechanical structure of SERENA. The design features a compact 3D-printed case that houses:

• A rotating pill disk for organized dispensing of different medications.
• A servo-controlled hatch, ensuring precise and secure release of pills.
• Dedicated slots for a camera and microphone, enabling voice interaction and monitoring.
• Internal space optimized to fit a Raspberry Pi, power supply, and wiring.

The structure prioritizes accessibility and ease of assembly, with snap-fit parts and removable covers for maintenance.
